VASER Lipo is one of the latest technologies used in liposuction, but unlike conventional liposuction, the trademarked system uses ultrasonic energy or ultrasound to break up and expel fat that has accumulated in the body – resulting in a procedure that is quick, clean and almost painless.
In comparison, SmartLipo uses a similar procedure but instead of sound energy, it uses light energy through the use of lasers.
What are the advantages of VASER Lipo?

How does VASER Lipo work?
VASER Lipo efficiently breaks up fat by breaking it up into tiny pieces with ultrasound. With the use of a probe called a cannula, the sonic energy is directed to areas where fat has built up. The liquefied fat is then flushed out of the system using a combination of suction and massage.
Because the energy delivered is precisely measured, the ultrasound dissolves the fat cells but leaves other tissues, nerves and blood vessels unharmed.
Prior to the actual procedure, local anesthesia is applied to the area where the process will be performed.
What to expect?
Because VASER Lipo is still an invasive procedure, the patient can expect minor trauma. As the swelling subsides, the results continue to improve for up to six months as collagen grows and tightens the skin.
Recovery
The patent can undergo the procedure and be back to work two days later, depending on the extent of the procedure and the amount of fat removed. Full recovery is six weeks.
